 Javier Alejandro Vasallo, MD, Prior to joining the UMC hospitalist program, Dr. Vasallo worked as a hospitalist at JFK Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida and Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Dr. Vasallo is an experienced hospitalist with vast knowledge and practice of bed-side procedures. He served as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. He has also work as a general practitioner in private practice in Cuba and Mexico City. Dr. Vasallo graduated from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de la Havana in Cuba in 1992 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L.
